Titan International, new partnership with Brazilian wheel manufacturer Rodaros Industria de Rodas. The move is part of a five-year investment plan finalized in 2024 to expand its capacity in anticipation of market growth in the coming years

After initiating the renovation of its European production sites, including the Italian one in Finale Emilia, the expansion of its Turkish plant in Aydin, and the acquisition of the US group Carlstar, Titan International recently announced a partnership with Brazilian wheel manufacturer Rodaros Industria de Rodas.
This partnership will result in Titan fully owning the South American manufacturer by 2029. Titan has invested four million euros to acquire the first twenty percent of Rodaros Industria de Rodas and, taking advantage of its ownership of the Goodyear brand, to be able to offer itself to local manufacturers of agricultural machinery and equipment both as a supplier of wheels and tyres and as a partner capable of optimising the operational performance of the machines through dedicated tuning of complete and pre-assembled wheels.
The Brazilian operation is part of the five-year investment plan launched in 2024 to consolidate, also in terms of production, the position of technical and qualitative preeminence that Titan International already enjoys globally thanks to the exclusive technologies offered by its flagship products.
In terms of rims, for example, both the “Waffle” series products, which allow the tractor’s track to be varied even in the field without the use of shims or additional components, and the “Lw” profile, which facilitates tire mounting operations by using up to approximately 30 percent less pressure than normally required to fit a tire onto the rim, are branded Titan. This is thanks to a profile that allows the tire bead to slide smoothly into its final position without undergoing mechanical stress.
The new geometry also minimizes the risk of incorrect positioning of the bead on the rim, a problem that, if it occurs, then gives rise to vibrations and juddering when the tractor is traveling at high speed on the road or to unwanted slippage between the tire and the rim when the wheel is subjected to strong driving torques.
Among the advantages is the cost-effectiveness, as tire-to-rim mounting time can be reduced by as much as 30 percent. Another exclusive Titan tire solution is “Low Sidewall” technology, developed by Goodyear engineers to increase machine productivity and efficiency by ensuring improved traction combined with superior stability and minimal soil compaction.
This is achieved through the tire’s lowered sidewall and the use of larger rims. Upon completion of the investment plan, the Titan group will boast a total production capacity of approximately one million rims per year for agricultural applications, an overall increase of more than 30 percent over current production.
